• November 2015   1st Marine Aircraft Wing Commanding General, Brigadier General Sanborn visit to MCAS Iwakuni, Japan

    Alqimi Project Management Lead, Mr. Dave Dunne and Senior Installation Protection Engineer, Mr. Bryan Findlay briefed the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing Commanding General, Brigadier General Sanborn during his recent visit to MCAS Iwakuni, Japan.  The general and his staff were able to conduct a tour of a $195M aviation training facility being constructed as a part of the DPRI program.  Installation Protection Engineer, Mr. Aaron Shenk assisted in the tour.


  • September 2015   ALQIMI National Security Awarded Prime Contract for DPRI Okinawa Facilities Support Services – Project Successfully Kicked off

    This project was successfully kicked off and work started on 8 September, 2015 by Mr. John (JJ) Ruttenberg and Patrick Picotin of ALQIMI National Security, who were on site in Okinawa to ensure a smooth contract/project start and transition.

    The contract scope is for:

    1. Support to the Okinawa DPRI Planning Group Mission of developing the replacement facility for Futenma

    2. Air Station at Camp Schwab (Okinawa, Japan), and

    3. The relocation of the tenant USMC OPFOR (Operational Force), with minimal disruption and minimal operational impacts to III MEF (Marine Expeditionary Forces) operational readiness.

    Period of Performance (POP):

    1. 43 months’ total

    2. Contract Work Start 8 SEP 2015

    3. Base Year, Plus 2 Option Years, 6-month extension


  • May 2015   ALQIMI Team PM, Michael Root, recognized for Project Management support role in successful opening of MCAS Iwakuni Flightline Dining Facility

    Mr. Michael Root, ALQIMI DPRI Facilities Development Project Manager, recently celebrated the successful opening of the new Flightline Dining Facility onboard MCAS Iwakuni during a special meal arranged by the installation Food Service Officer. A complicated, high-visibility project with significant operational and quality of life impacts, there were concerns that the Flightline Dining Facility could experience a delayed completion. Mr. Root lead an exceptional team of construction stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail in overcoming unexpected obstacles and resolving multidisciplinary problems. This close and intense coordination resulted in all work finishing in time for the scheduled Grand Opening. DPRI Director Brian Wottowa presented Mr. Root with a military command coin during the weekly Staff Meeting in recognition of his exceptional work on this and other projects.

  • March 2015   First Lady of the USMC Tours Newly Completed Iwakuni Housing with ALQIMI Project Manager

    Mrs. Kimberly Hakola, ALQIMI DPRI Facilities Development Project Manager, recently had the opportunity to brief Mrs. Ellyn Dunford, "First Lady" of the Marine Corps (FLOMC) on the family housing construction underway at Marine Corps Air Station – Iwakuni, Japan. Mrs. Dunford, who accompanied her husband, Gen. Dunford, 36th Commandant of the Marine Corps, to Japan, met with DPRI representatives during a tour of the base. Mrs. Dunford was pleased with the size and interior finishes of the newly constructed three-bedroom row homes. DPRI Director Brian Wottowa stated that Mrs. Hakola, also an active-duty spouse and base housing resident, provided a "personal face" for DPRI Program in Iwakuni.

  • September 2013   Alqimi Awarded Contract to Support Marine Corps Air Station in Japan

    On September 18, 2013, Alqimi Technoloy Solutions, Inc. (formerly ABSi Corporation) was awarded a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract from The CENTECH Group to provide Architecture & Engineering (A&E) Professional Services expertise. The contract calls for Alqimi to support the Defense Policy Review Initiative (DPRI) Integrated Program Management Office (IPMO) located at the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) in Iwakuni, Japan.


    The contract consists of a 1-year base period and two 1-year option periods for a total of 36 months.


    Alqimi’s Pacific Solutions Group (PSG) led the pursuit and capture of this award. John Ruttenberg is currently serving as the Alqimi Program Manager on-site at the Alqimi Japan Field Office in Iwakuni.

    Contract Scope

    Alqimi is providing full-time on-site (OCONUS) and part-time remote (CONUS/OCONUS) consultants for technical and advisory support.
